Information

A very fine classical guitar made in 1923 by Enrique Sanfeliu, Barcelona.

Labeled and dated by the maker.

Front of matched halves of spruce.

Bridge of rosewood and a tie-block top framed with mother of pearl.

Back and sides of Brazilian rosewood.

Neck and head of cedar.

The great South American guitarist Augustin Barrios played a Sanfeliu guitar which he acquired in 1930 in Brazil.

The arrangement of the internal struts, plates, harmonic bars and crossbars show the influence of Sanfeliu's teacher, Enrique Garcia.

This guitar is built from prime materials and exhibits some fine detailed workmanship.

Condition

The top has no cracks.

There has been a very light French re-polising in the past.
